Heidi Gider is the Director of Development at Alliance for Justice. Heidi leads efforts to raise funds from a diverse range of sources. With more than 20 years of increasing responsibility in resource development and nonprofit management, Heidi brings a wealth of experience in all areas of fundraising, including major gifts, planned giving, event planning, and grantwriting, as well as operations. Prior to joining AfJ, she worked as the Director of Advancement at the National Women’s Health Network. She previously worked at Equal Rights Advocates (San Francisco), Society for Women’s Health Research, Legal Aid Society of DC, HALT, National Academy of Sciences and Friends of the Earth. In addition, she is a Senior Consultant with The Rainmakers Group, a DC-based firm that works with small-to-mid-size clients, including The Association of Direct Response Fundraising Counsel and Healthy Living, Inc. Heidi serves as the Board Chair of Responsive Law, a national nonprofit committed to improving the legal system. She has presented to the Center for Nonprofit Success, Direct Marketing Association, AFP-DC’s Bridge Conference, Chorus America, and Merrill Lynch. She is a graduate of Bard College, and attended St. Clare’s, Oxford.
