Judith Scott currently serves as General Counsel of the Service Employees International Union, the nation’s largest and fastest growing private sector union with a strong voice for immigrant worker justice. She is also a member of the Washington, DC law firm of James & Hoffman.
Over the past 38 years, Ms. Scott has held labor law positions in a wide range of unions, including the UAW, AFSCME, United Mine Workers, and Teamsters.
Ms. Scott is an active member of the ABA International Labor and Employment Law Committee, and was its union co-chair from 2007-2010. She now serves on the Board of Directors of the Alliance for Justice, the American Constitution Society and the National Partnership for Women and the Law. Ms. Scott has a BA degree from Wellesley College and JD degree from Northeastern University School of Law.
