AFJ and our sister organization, Alliance for Justice Action Campaign, seeks a Communications Manager who will be a core member of our team and a contributor to our mission. This position will report directly to the Communications Director.
Alliance for Justice is seeking a Director of Justice Programs. The Director of Justice Programs is a senior staff member who will be responsible for managing research and developing and implementing strategy to achieve AFJ’s justice policy initiatives. The Director of Justice position reports to the executive vice president.
The Northern California Director will work primarily on AFJ’s Bolder Advocacy program. Bolder Advocacy promotes active engagement in the democratic process by giving nonprofits and foundations the confidence to advocate effectively and by protecting their right to do so. The Northern California Director will be part of a team of skilled advocates and attorneys who provide nonprofits and foundations with the knowledge they need to become confident advocates, and with the resources and tools to help them navigate complex advocacy rules and regulations.
The Executive Assistant is a highly valued member of the executive team who provides personal administrative support and assistance to AFJ’s President and Vice President for Program and Operations (VP) in a fast-paced environment. Reporting to the President and VP, this position plays a key role in managing work flow and sharing internal information to ensure efficiency.
AFJ is offering a ten-month public interest fellowship to a person who has recently completed an undergraduate degree program. The fellow, funded by a grant from the CrossCurrents Foundation, will undertake a variety of grassroots organizing and research projects.
The Bolder Advocacy Program Assistant reports to the Director of Bolder Advocacy and provides a wide range of administrative, technical, and program support activities that advance the program area’s activities. This is a great opportunity for those interested in nonprofit advocacy.
AIDS United is a national organization dedicated to the development, analysis, cultivation, and encouragement of sound policies and programs in response to the HIV epidemic. Through the dissemination of information and the building and use of advocacy on behalf of all those living with and affected by HIV, AIDS United has been instrumental in the development and implementation of major public health policies to improve the quality of life for the estimated 1.2 million Americans who are HIV positive.
