Jennifer Meinig

Legislative Counsel

Jennifer Meinig is Legislative Counsel for the Alliance for Justice.  She spends her time on the Hill advocating on behalf of civil rights and social justice causes.  Jennifer also remains heavily involved in researching judicial nominees to the federal appellate courts through the Alliance's Judicial Selection Project.  She is a graduate of West Virginia University's College of Law where she was president of the ACLU College of Law Chapter, a member of the American Constitution Society and active in the Women's Law Caucus.  During law school, she clerked for the ACLU's Reproductive Freedom Project and Steptoe & Johnson, PLLC.  She also spent time with the Honorable Judge Robert B. King on the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.  Jennifer received her Bachelor's degree, graduating with Pi Sigma Alpha honors, in Political Science from West Virginia University.  She has served on various boards and advisory committees, including Planned Parenthood Health Systems, West Virginia University Department of Political Science, and WV FREE - West Virginia's only statewide, pro-choice coalition.  Jennifer is a member of the Virginia State Bar.
