Jose OlivasProgram Assistant, West Coast Office Jose Olivas is the Program Assistant of the West Coast Office of Alliance for Justice. He is responsible for providing support for the Nonprofit Advocacy Project and Foundation Advocacy Initiative. These programs work to increase the capacity of nonprofits to influence public policy. Before joining AFJ, Jose worked for Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions as the East Bay Graduate Programs Outreach Coordinator. Jose currently serves as a volunteer Spanish translator/interpreter at Girls Inc. of Alameda, a nonprofit organization which provides vital educational programs to millions of American girls, particularly those in high-risk, underserved areas. Jose holds a bachelor's degree in Mass Communications from University of California, Berkeley in Berkeley, CA. |
