Lisa A. Hayes

Before joining AFJ, Lisa was a partner with a Seattle law firm, where her practice included serving as lead counsel in more than a dozen trials and appeals, often involving Constitutional questions of law. Lisa has been deeply involved with social justice issues for two decades, with a recent emphasis on voter protection programs. She has organized and staffed legal clinics serving the homeless, spent five years as general counsel to an active community club in the nation’s most diverse zip code, and serves on numerous boards and commissions. She is a published author, frequent speaker at educational and civic events, and has been repeatedly honored on a local and national level for her professional and community efforts.
