June 18, 2009, Washington, DC—"Alliance for Justice strongly supports the call of the Judicial Conference for more bankruptcy judges.  In these troubled economic times, no area of law is more important in bringing quick relief to consumers and businesses.  The increase in bankruptcy filings presents yet another reason for Congress to move comprehensive legislation to create more federal judgeships, as recommended repeatedly by the Judicial Conference."
