In probably the most activist and far-reaching Supreme Court decision this term, the conservative bloc struck down voluntary school integration programs in Louisville and Seattle as unconstitutional. The decision turns Brown v. Board on its head and overturns decisions by democratically elected school boards to address the problem of racial segregation in their local schools.
