"Sotomayor's confirmation to the Supreme Court is an historic, groundbreaking event that marks the start of a new day for justice in America," said Nan Aron, President of Alliance for Justice. "As the Court's first Hispanic and only its third woman, Sotomayor will have a powerful effect much like that of Justice Thurgood Marshall on the Court and the law.
