In an effort to ease the transition for nonprofits, instructions for complying with the IRS' recently revised Form 990 will be released this year in segments, reports the Chronicle of Philanthropy. While the initial set of instructions should be expected "in the next few months," the anticipated final draft will be released "in the middle of the year."

An article appearing in The Los Angeles Times examines this week's announcement from the Planned Parenthood Action Fund that the organization would launch "an unprecedented voter-mobilization effort targeting the young, often low-income women who rely on the group's clinics."
