Jeff Wise, an expert in advocacy and public policy with experience in law, government, journalism and nonprofit organizations, is the new director of Alliance for Justice’s Bolder Advocacy Initiative.
Wise directs an initiative that is the national leader in helping nonprofits become effective advocates and helping foundations use advocacy and public policy tools to achieve their goals..
“We are thrilled to have someone with Jeff’s passion, commitment and breadth of experience leading Bolder Advocacy,” said AFJ President Nan Aron.
“Because advocacy is increasingly becoming a central tool for all types of organizations, I’m excited to lead an effort that can advance many critical initiatives at once,” said Wise.
Wise’s previous work includes serving as director of the Alliance for Conservation at the Pew Charitable Trusts, policy director and deputy general counsel for the National Environmental Trust and associate director for global environmental affairs for the White House National Security Council. He’s also worked as a reporter for United Press International and legislative aide to Sen. Brock Adams, D-Wash.
Wise is a graduate of Brown University, Stanford University and Stanford University Law School.
