On Wednesday afternoon, leaders of Pennsylvania organizations that represent a wide range of Pennsylvanians will host a call with the Alliance for Justice and the Center for American progress to urge Senators Casey and Toomey to reject the nomination of Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions for Attorney General. At the hearings Senator Sessions faced questions on his poor record on civil rights and his position on respect for laws protecting LGBT people and communities of color. Speakers on the call will address the stakes for Pennsylvanians, Sessions’ fitness to serve as the peoples’ attorney, and respond to gaps in documents Sessions has provided to the Senate Judiciary Committee.
