On Tuesday, March 12, at noon, advocates for civil rights, South Asian communities, women’s rights, sexual assault survivors and the environment will speak out at the U.S. Supreme Court against the confirmation of Neomi Rao to the D.C. Circuit Court. Rao has a history of offensive writings regarding sexual assault, women’s rights, LGBTQ rights, racial justice, and the environment. As the head of a powerful federal government office, she has presided over efforts to roll back a host of critical rights and protections. The Senate could vote on her confirmation as early as March 13.

Attendees will wear t-shirts with quotes from Rao’s writings, and have posters featuring quotes alongside policy actions matching her rhetoric.
