WASHINGTON, D.C., March 18, 2021 – This week, a gunman attacked and murdered eight people in North Georgia, including six women of Asian descent.

Alliance for Justice President Nan Aron issued the following statement:

“This week, our fellow Asian-Americans were murdered in a hateful crime. The past year has already been marked by such incredible grief and stigma against this community. We extend our heartfelt sorrow to the grieving families and all Asian Americans in this country. We stand with the Asian-American community in condemning this tragedy, decrying the hate that motivated it, and fighting for a better tomorrow.”
