Law360: Senate Confirms 8th Trump Nominee To Federal Claims Court

Progressive groups mobilized against his confirmation ahead of Tuesday’s vote. Alliance for Justice, the AFL-CIO, the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, and the National Council of Jewish Women urged the Senate not to install Schwartz to the court.
The AFL-CIO said that Schwartz had yet to be admitted to practice before the Court of Federal Claims in a letter dated Friday.
And in a Thursday letter to senators, Alliance for Justice said Schwartz “has built his short career around relentless advocacy for ideologically driven efforts to erode basic constitutional rights that strongly suggest he will not be a fair and unbiased jurist.”
