Sessions Must Resign  

WASHINGTON, D.C., March 3, 2017  – Commenting on revelations that Attorney General Jeff Sessions failed to disclose meetings he held with Russia’s ambassador while he was actively taking part in President Trump’s campaign, Alliance for Justice President Nan Aron released the following statement:  

“The nomination and confirmation process for Attorney General Sessions was flawed, rushed and incomplete from the start, and now we are seeing the fallout.  Sessions was never thoroughly vetted, and now it appears that the omissions and obfuscations in the paperwork he submitted for his nomination were followed by outright perjury during his confirmation hearing. Sessions should resign immediately.  And Senators should redouble their efforts to make sure this administration’s nominees do not skate through the confirmation process without the utmost scrutiny of their records, associations, and histories.”
