“There is a slim chance that there will be an indictment, so it’s a little misleading to focus on the legal crime,” said William Yeomans, a fellow of the liberal Alliance for Justice, a former professor of law and a 26-year veteran of the Department of Justice.

“What we are really talking about is whether the president has committed an indisputable crime.

And obstruction of justice, Yeomans argued, is a well-established reason for impeachment.
