Barbara Gonzalez-McIntosh

Board Member


Barbara is the Chief Counsel and Board Secretary for The Student Conservation Association. Before serving as Senior Vice President and Chief Counsel for the American Humane Association, she served as General Counsel and Board Secretary for the National Wildlife Federation and the League of Conservation Voters, and held senior positions at the Pew Charitable Trusts. Her work has included domestic and international corporate issues, tax-exempt organization law, governance, campaign finance, lobbying and ethics, fundraising, mergers and acquisitions, and organizational risk assessment functions.  She is also an active champion for forging a more diverse conservation community.

Barbara is a board member of Rachel’s Network and has been on the boards of Futurewise (previously, 1000 Friends of Washington) and the King County Bar Foundation, as well as a member of the Washington Women’s Foundation.  She is a graduate of Pace University School of Law and holds a Certificate in International Law.
