Monika Graham

Bilingual Counsel, Bolder Advocacy Program


Monika Graham serves as Bilingual Counsel for the Bolder Advocacy Program at Alliance for Justice. She supports nonprofit organizations in their advocacy and lobbying efforts by equipping them with the resources to do so boldly and effectively.

Monika graduated from St. Edward’s University in 2007 with a degree in Criminal Justice and earned her law degree from Texas Southern University, Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 2014.

Prior to joining AFJ, Monika was a Staff Attorney at the Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services (RAICES), Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, and the Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights where she advocated for and provided legal representation to immigrant children in the United States trying to navigate the nation’s immigration system. Monika’s previous experience also includes working as an Assistant District Attorney in Nueces County, Texas and as an Associate Attorney specializing in probate and guardianship matters.

In her free time, Monika enjoys spending the day at the beach, watching a gorgeous sunset, reading a good book, and listening to anything by Elevation Worship and Maverick City Music.
