Shannon Williams (she/her) is the Evaluation Manager for the Bolder Advocacy program at Alliance for Justice. Bolder Advocacy is the nation’s foremost advocacy resource for foundations and nonprofits who want to engage more actively and knowledgeably in the policymaking process to advance their work. In her role, Shannon provides training and technical assistance about advocacy evaluation and capacity assessment for nonprofits, funders, and evaluators. She also leads the development of Bolder Advocacy’s measurement, evaluation, and learning framework.
Prior to joining AFJ in 2019, Shannon was the Research Manager at Rebuilding Together’s national office, where she spearheaded efforts to launch a multi-year, multi-phase outcome evaluation plan, in addition to oversight of data collection, management, analysis, and reporting efforts across a network of 130 affiliate organizations. Shannon holds a M.A. in Ethics, Peace and Global Affairs from American University, a LL.M. in International Human Rights and Humanitarian Law from the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder), Germany, as well as a B.A. in Philosophy from Hood College.
